So I was creeping on New York City DJ Juliana Huxatable’s Instagram when I came across the perfect adjective to describe this years Art Basel. “#proscuiutto,” a comment left under her IG video of Collins Avenue in Miami Beach featuring bright neon business front lights, iconic Miami bejeweled white apparel, and the enormous hotel buildings that line South Beach. Yup, Art Basel was that good ham y’all, and New York City’s House of Ladosha held it down till the very end.
After a week of hyper socializing and looking at what felt like every piece of art ever made, I was feeling a bit rough on the last day of Basel. Thank Gaia for Topical Cream, the spa roof top rave that provided vitamin B12 shots and that delicious rum punch. The afternoon recovery party also featured a DJ set by Ms. Huxtable and queen bee La’fem Ladosha featured above giving a fierce performance on the rooftop of the Cleavelander Hotel.
